SC Cleared DevOps Engineer (Hybrid - Manchester/Newcastle)
Location: Hybrid (2 days per week in Manchester or Newcastle office)
Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum
Clearance: SC Clearance Required
We are seeking an experienced SC Cleared DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. This exciting opportunity offers a hybrid working model, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home 3 days per week while collaborating with the team in either our Manchester or Newcastle office for 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.
- Automate deployment pipelines and manage continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to streamline operations and improve application performance.
- Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ensure infrastructure is secure, stable, and compliant with industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues swiftly to minimize downtime.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health of the infrastructure.
- Provide support and guidance to junior team members.
Skills and Experience:
- Active SC Clearance (Essential)
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and networking concepts.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex infrastructure issues.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a hybrid team.
