All about the role:

Electrolux Group has an IT organization structure based on a strong central IT team providing Group-level shared services across the organization, and regional IT leaders delivering IT within the regions. These Regional CIO roles will lead the digital transformation of IT and business within the region, act as the business partner and focal point of contact between the regional business and IT and build the organization to deliver on key strategic priorities. Electrolux is now seeking to recruit the regional CIO for Europe & Asia Pacific (EA).

As Electrolux Group strives to digitally enable its business in every unit and function and across all channels to market, the CIO Region EMEA and APAC will be a one of the key leaders on this journey, creating a best-in-class IT organization and focusing on enabling integrated front-to-back capabilities to deliver a streamlined customer experience.

The following key priorities for the role have been identified:

  • Act as the strategic technology partner and natural focal point of contact for the regional and global IT organization; partnering with business leadership and other key stakeholders to define opportunities. Identify and prioritize projects to ensure a cohesive, future‑focused portfolio of initiatives, based on key criteria (return on investment, productivity, compliance, etc.).
  • Proactively define and deliver on the IT financial targets in line with Region and Group requirements.
  • Champion and orchestrate the region’s digital transformation, steering the evolution of digital capabilities, data-driven decision making, and the global IT operating model across the enterprise.
  • Shape the future-ready IT organization - developing teams and talent, enhancing leadership capability, and fostering a culture where IT enables and accelerates business transformation. Build bridges between the digital and legacy parts of the business, to enable an integrated, seamless digital ecosystem.
  • Contribute to the Group technology vision for modern, scalable, and reliable platforms that support business growth and secure cost-efficient delivery towards all value domains.

The role will report to the CEO EMEA and Group CIO. It will be an active member of both the Regional leadership team of EMEA as well as the global IT & Digital leadership team. It will be responsible for a team of 340+ resources, as well as delivery of services using a matrix-based IT model. The Regional EMEA & APAC IT organization includes teams related to value enables, value domains and technology (group solutions teams).

What you'll do:

  • Lead and manage the IT function and its personnel to continuously drive value, operational excellence and efficiencies while ensuring proper IT communications and IT governance.
  • Assume full budget responsibility for all IT activities in the region and ensure delivery on agreed financial targets.
  • Be an active member of the Region Leadership Team as well as the global IT Leadership Team.
  • Develop, maintain and enforce Group IT strategy, standards and procedures.
  • Actively build cross-functional and cross-competence collaboration within and outside the direct area of control.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for synergies and efficiencies across IT and the business Manage on/offshore third-party IT providers.
  • Drive the regional AI agenda by identifying high‑value use cases, driving responsible implementation, and ensuring AI solutions are embedded into core business and IT processes to enhance productivity, decision‑making, and innovation.
  • Collaborate with the Group Chief Information Security Officer on regional Cybersecurity topics, ensuring robust governance, risk management, and resilience across all technology environments. Oversee the implementation of Group security standards, regional threat monitoring, and continuous improvement of cybersecurity posture.
  • Ensure proper IT planning in close cooperation with business stakeholders in the region. Partner with business leadership and other key stakeholders to define opportunities, identify and prioritize projects based on predefined criteria (return on investment, productivity, compliance, etc.).
  • Facilitate and/or be a catalyst for successful implementation of large IT projects.
  • Provide guidance and leadership in digital transformation and IoT initiatives
  • Own the end‑to‑end technology strategy for CDI (PoM, D2C, C&A), defining architectural principles, long‑term roadmaps, and standards enabling scale, resilience, and speed.
  • Drive cross‑functional alignment, ensuring consistent technology standards, prioritization, and execution across markets and regions.
  • Be proactive in identifying operational issues and drive resolution.
  • Direct personnel involved in the development and implementation of business applications and/or maintenance and support of the existing application portfolio.
  • Develop people and capabilities in the IT organization to meet current and future needs. Coach and mentor line managers within IT.
  • Review and approve project deliverables and functions in project Steering Groups.
  • Direct activities to ensure work adheres to processes, procedures and standards.
  • When required, manage projects in a professional and active manner, improving quality and reducing project risks.
  • Manage IT risks by taking active steps to mitigate such risks in day-to-day IT service delivery.

  • A dynamic, strategic, and proactive leader, able to shape the digital agenda and provide a bridge between IT and business to interpret and define strategy and drive execution to maximize business value.
  • A leader who can bring experience in moving from legacy environments to cloud based digital solutions, and for driving projects where technologies such as IoT, analytics, automation, connected devices, online and mobile have been used to increase efficiency and create new functionality.
  • A leader with exceptional skills in technology, innovation, technology adoption (change management), communication and people leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Proven record of business and people leadership in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplined environment
  • Previous experience leading a large IT organization in a matrix model.
  • Strong business acumen and broad working knowledge of business functions and processes (Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, Supply chain, etc.) and CX (Consumer Experiences).
  • Broad experience across all facets of the IT discipline (Infrastructure, application development, commercial off-the-shelf software, project management, portfolio management, etc.) with deep experience in more than one area.
  • Proven record of developing IT portfolio governance in close cooperation with business stakeholders.
  • Previous experience managing Projects and /or support around enterprise level applications in a multi-functional user environment.
  • Previous experience managing third party resources and services in an on/offshore model.
  • Experience of identifying, structuring, and implementing IT solutions in a project environment.
  • Ability to prepare and present material to all levels, including Senior Management.
  • Able and willing to travel as required.
