A technology-focused analytics team in Canada is looking for an Entry-Level Data Scientist interested in solving practical problems using data. This role focuses on developing analytical solutions, supporting machine learning initiatives, and transforming complex data into meaningful insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform exploratory data analysis on business and product datasets
- Build and evaluate predictive models and statistical analyses
- Prepare data pipelines and perform data cleaning tasks
- Develop dashboards and reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Assist with A/B testing and experimentation analysis
- Document analytical processes and model performance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related discipline
- 0–2 years of experience in data science, analytics, internships, or academic projects
- Strong programming skills in Python or R
- Experience working with SQL databases
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques and statistical methods
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Plotly
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Exposure to cloud-based analytics tools (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Understanding of data pipelines and ETL processes
