Our client is searching for a Data & Backend Engineer to join a team building a next-generation billing platform for a modern cloud infrastructure environment. This platform will transform infrastructure usage from services such as compute, storage, and APIs into reliable billing data that powers pricing models, financial systems, and invoicing. You will play a key role in building the data pipelines and backend services that make this possible.

What you will do

• Build event-driven data pipelines for billing and usage data.

• Design services that ingest and process large-scale usage events.

• Transform infrastructure usage into billable records.

• Develop backend services for billing aggregation and processing.

• Ensure reliability, scalability, and accuracy of billing data.

• Work closely with product and finance teams on billing models and data structures.

What you bring

• Strong backend engineering skills in Golang.

• Ability to design and build event-driven systems.

• Solid knowledge of Kafka or similar messaging platforms.

• Proven ability to build data pipelines and ETL workflows.

• Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of billing, metering, or usage-based platforms.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure environments.

• Exposure to data processing frameworks such as Spark, Flink, or Beam.

• Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code, including Terraform.

This is a permanent position where you will be hired directly by our client in Stockholm.
