One of our clients is currently looking for a Backend Engineer with a strong data focus to join their Billing team. In this role, you’ll help shape how product usage is translated into accurate, scalable billing data, working at the intersection of backend engineering and data processing.
The role:
- Own the development of systems that capture and process high-volume usage data
- Design backend services responsible for aggregating and structuring billing information
- Translate raw infrastructure signals into clean, billable datasets
- Contribute to the evolution of billing data models alongside product and finance teams
- Strengthen system reliability through improved monitoring, validation, and observability
- Continuously optimize data flows for performance, scalability, and accuracy
Requirements:
- Proven experience building backend systems in Go
- Strong understanding of distributed architectures and data-intensive systems
- Hands-on work with asynchronous or event-based processing patterns
- Experience working with streaming or messaging technologies (e.g., Kafka)
- Background in building or maintaining data pipelines or ETL processes
Bonus if you have:
- Familiarity with usage-based billing or metering concepts
- Experience with financial systems or invoice generation workflows
- Exposure to cloud platforms and infrastructure environments
- Knowledge of large-scale data processing tools such as Spark, Flink, or Beam
- Experience managing infrastructure through tools like Terraform
