Responsibilities
What is your role?
This position is responsible for incident resolution and request handling on the Datacenter network and security infrastructure scope.
Responsibilities include installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, monitoring, capacity management and maintenance of switches, routers, firewalls, NAC, load balancers, web application firewalls, proxies, DNS and VPN connectivity :
- Installation, configuration, monitoring and incident/problem resolution of Network.
- switching equipment and routing equipment.
- Monitoring and incident/problem resolution of security equipment.
- Installation, configuration of part of the security equipment.
- Patch/upgrade systems to maintain the required security and support levels.
- Monitor performance and capacity of the infrastructure.
- Works closely with users to understand needs, define and solve incidents/problems.
- Instructs users in order to avoid recurring incidents/problems.
- Maintains a current knowledge of changes in the data communications field.
What is your profile ?
- 5 to 8 years of proven experience in a role combining network engineering and cybersecurity.
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies and communication systems.
- Experience with fiber optics and network peripherals.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking.
- Hands-on experience with:
- VLAN configuration and management
- Routing protocols (MPLS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
- Cisco IOS (ACI is considered an asset)
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security practices
- Familiarity with syslogs and monitoring tools
- Languages: Fluent French is mandatory; a solid level of technical English is required.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
- Good organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
