Protection Engineer (Protection & Control / Substation) – Oman – 8 Month Contract
We are currently supporting a high-profile client in the power and utilities sector on an 8-month
project in Oman.
This role is focused on protection and control systems within substations and transmission networks, supporting the safe and reliable operation of electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on protection and control systems for power networks
- Configure and test protection relays (ABB, Siemens, Schneider, etc.)
- Support testing and commissioning activities on substations
- Ensure protection schemes are correctly implemented and functioning
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure system reliability and safety
Key Requirements:
- Experience in Protection & Control engineering within power systems
- Hands-on experience with protection relays and relay testing
- Experience working on substations or transmission networks
- Level 3 qualification in electrical/protection engineering (mandatory)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Important:
Candidates without the required Level 3 qualification will not be considered.
