Cloud Infrastructure & DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Dublin

Work Model: Hybrid

Contract Type: Daily Rate Contract

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure & DevSecOps Engineer to join our technology team. This role is ideal for someone who excels in automation, cloud engineering, secure infrastructure design, and modern DevSecOps practices.

As a key technical contributor, you will design, build, and optimise cloud environments using Infrastructure‑as‑Code, enhance CI/CD workflows, and embed security controls through Policy‑as‑Code. You will also work closely with cross‑functional teams to enable efficient, secure, and scalable delivery of applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Infrastructure‑as‑Code automation, particularly with Terraform, to build reusable patterns and modules.
  • Use DevOps and CI/CD tooling such as Azure DevOps, Git, and YAML pipelines to provision and manage cloud resources.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues and document re‑engineered processes.
  • Manage and automate network firewall technologies to strengthen security protocols.
  • Implement Policy‑as‑Code frameworks aligned with industry standards such as CIS and NIST.
  • Design, optimise, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with operational and security gates.
  • Work with multiple product teams to tailor CI/CD processes while ensuring compliance and quality.
  • Evaluate and onboard new tools, languages, and frameworks to improve the DevSecOps ecosystem.
  • Support the deployment of new product features and system enhancements.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong experience in Microsoft Azure cloud engineering.
  • Proven background in cloud networking automation and Terraform IaC.
  • Experience with Azure networking services including Virtual WAN, VNETs, and BGP.
  • Good understanding of DevSecOps and hands‑on experience implementing its practices.
  • Expertise in CI/CD automation using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
  • Ability to manage cloud infrastructure configurations and self‑service automation patterns.
  • Strong knowledge of multi‑region and multi‑cloud network architecture.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Ruby, Perl, YAML, or KQL.
  • Experience working within Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe environments.
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks.
  • Understanding of enforcing security controls via IaC and Policy‑as‑Code.
