Role Overview:

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer (React) to join one of our biggest clients, a leading European digital automotive marketplace group, responsible for several major brands spanning the C2B, B2B and B2C segments, with over £20 billion in annual GMV and a strong focus on digital innovation and large-scale platform development.

Location: Hybrid – Home + Coimbra (on-site once a month)

What you will do:

• Deliver design, code and maintain high-quality, user-centric web applications using React and Next.js

• Participate in code reviews, write tests and document technical solutions

• Collaborate with the Technical Lead to balance value delivery with code quality

• Work closely with Product and Design teams to implement interfaces that are visually compelling and intuitive

• Advocate for good engineering practices to improve productivity, quality and user experience

• Support continuous delivery through efficient development workflows and coordinated releases

What you are like:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar, or equivalent experience

• 3+ years of professional experience in frontend development focused on React

• Strong skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS and preprocessors (Sass, Less)

• Experience with build tools such as Webpack, Babel, npm/yarn

• Experience with UI testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library) and understanding of TDD/BDD

• Familiarity with Cypress or TestCafe (plus)

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Familiarity with other frontend frameworks (Vue, Angular) is a plus
