A well established business in the real estate sector is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join their technology team in Brisbane. The organisation operates a multi site environment across Australia and requires a strong networking professional to support and evolve its national infrastructure.
The Role
• Design and implement scalable LAN, WAN and wireless network solutions across multiple sites
• Support the operation and optimisation of a high availability network environment
• Lead network design activities for new site deployments and office fit outs
• Manage resilient WAN architectures including dual ISP connectivity and failover
• Configure and maintain routing, switching and wireless infrastructure
• Troubleshoot network incidents across routing, switching, wireless and WAN connectivity
• Monitor network performance and availability using enterprise monitoring platforms
• Maintain network documentation including diagrams, IP addressing plans and configuration standards
• Work closely with internal teams and external vendors on infrastructure projects and upgrades
Technology Environment
• Core routing platforms including Juniper Networks and MikroTik
• Enterprise switching and wireless technologies from Aruba Networks
• Routing protocols including BGP, OSPF and VRRP
• Network monitoring tools such as PRTG, Zabbix or Grafana
• Multi site WAN environments supporting high availability connectivity
Experience Required
• Strong experience within complex network environments
• Background in ISP, telecommunications, data centre or carrier networks is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of routing, switching and WAN technologies
• Experience supporting multi site network infrastructure
• Hands on experience with vendors such as Juniper, Aruba or MikroTik
• Strong troubleshooting capability across Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking
