Junior Software Engineer (f/m/div)

Infineon Technologies is the strongest semiconductor company in Romania with a R&D center in Bucharest for 20 years and growing R&D sites in Iași and Brașov. You will be part of a newly formed software development team in Iasi, which will have full software lifecycle ownership for in-house IT products and applications, which are integral parts of Infineon’s advanced R&D flows, processes and planning framework. Job Description

As a Junior Software Engineer, you will take the lead in driving Infineon’s digitalization journey, focusing on portfolio management and road-mapping solutions.

In your new role you will:

Design, build and run web applications & platforms that drive Infineon’s digitalization journey for product portfolio and roadmap management
Collaborate with other developers, architects, business analysts, UX experts and BIZ stakeholders to design and build systems that is efficient, effective, and scalable
Work in cross-functional Scrum teams and follow DevOps practices & methods
Explore emerging trends and technologies in software development

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

University degree in computer science, informatics, or a related field
1-2 years of hands-on experience in software development, including exposure to architectural design and system integration
Familiarity with modern web development frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js, ASP.NET Core) as well as TS/JS, HTML, and CSS
Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming languages (e.g. Java, C#) and an understanding of relational and non-relational data base technologies (e.g. MSSQL and S3/CEPH)
Exposure to cloud technologies, containerization and orchestration tools (e.g. Kubernetes, OpenShift) is a plus
Familiarity with agile methodologies (e.g. SCRUM, Kanban) and basic understanding of DevOps practices (e.g. CI/CD, test automation)
Fluent English language skills
