We’re looking for an Email & SMS Marketing Specialist who will take ownership of our lifecycle marketing channels. This role is key to driving engagement, retention, and revenue across the entire customer journey, from first touch to repeat purchase.
You won’t just execute campaigns, you’ll build, optimize, and continuously improve a high-performing lifecycle engine.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full deployment cycle for weekly/monthly newsletter and sms campaigns and promotional blasts.
- Set up and optimize automated flows (e.g., Welcome Series, Abandoned Cart, Browse Abandonment, Post-Purchase, Win-back) in Klaviyo/Brevo.
- Regularly audit flow performance (open rates, click-through rates, revenue per recipient) and iterate on content, timing, and segmentation to maximize conversion.
- Implement advanced logic (e.g., conditional splits based on purchase history or engagement) to ensure a personalized customer journey.
- Brief the design and copywriting teams, ensure the assets meet the technical requirements, and provide constructive feedback to align with email best practices.
- Build emails within the platform, ensuring flawless rendering on mobile and desktop, verifying all links, UTM parameters, and dynamic tags.
- Proactively maintain list health, handle suppressions, and create laser-focused segments to ensure high deliverability and engagement.
- Design and execute a rigorous testing schedule (subject lines, preview text, CTA placement, offers) to improve core KPIs.
- Monitor platform dashboards to track key e-commerce metrics and provide actionable summaries to the team.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience managing email marketing specifically for an e-commerce brand. You understand the full customer journey, from the first site visit to the post-purchase retention phase.
- Expert-level knowledge of Klaviyo (Brevo is a significant plus). You don’t just use the drag-and-drop editor; you understand the backend logic, data syncing, custom events, and flow triggers that drive real revenue.
- You have a "zero-error" mindset. You know exactly what to check before hitting "Send" to ensure that discount codes, tracking parameters, and product links are 100% functional.
- You have a systematic approach to managing both automated lifecycle flows and ad-hoc promotional campaigns without missing a beat.
- Deep familiarity with email and sms marketing KPIs (Open Rate, CTR, Revenue per Email, List Growth, Unsubscribe Rate) and how they correlate to overall revenue.
- You have a systematic approach to work and are capable of managing multiple campaigns simultaneously without missing deadlines.
- You know how to translate business goals into clear, actionable briefs for creative team members.
- You don't just see that a campaign failed; you have the analytical curiosity to investigate why and propose a solution.
- You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift based on store performance or sales events.
- You treat the email and sms channel as your own and are always looking for ways to improve performance without being asked.
