Employment Term: One-year contract for the first two years, with the intention to move into a full-time permanent position after that period.
Role Type: Salaried
Working hours: Normal business hours are 8.30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Thursday, and 8.30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, with a lunch break for one hour between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Office Location: Chausseestraße 19, 10115 Berlin
Travel Requirement: Candidates must have the ability and willingness to travel within Europe up to 3x in the year.
About the Role
Generis is seeking a dynamic and high energy Recruitment and Human Resources Coordinator to support our Berlin office. This role has a strong focus on recruitment, employee onboarding, and day-to-day HR operations. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of recruitment experience, a solid understanding of the Berlin hiring market, some exposure to German employment law and regulations and above all, a positive attitude!
You will support our managers and employees while ensuring HR practices are compliant, efficient, and aligned with company culture. Confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail are essential in this role.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of recruitment experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally with a focus on sales hiring
- Strong knowledge of the Berlin hiring market
- Professional fluency in English
- Working proficiency in German
- Familiarity with German employment law and local HR practices, with the ability to apply them pragmatically in a dynamic business setting
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Professional and discreet handling of confidential information
- Strong administrative skills, with proficiency in Excel, Google Drive, and HR systems
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with shifting priorities
- Ability to balance compliance requirements with efficiency and business momentum
- Willingness and ability to travel within the EU up to three times per year for business summits
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and motivated to identify and implement process improvements
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (60%)
- Support full-cycle recruitment for the Berlin office, with a strong focus on sales hiring and ongoing hiring for operational roles such as Event Coordinator, Digital Marketing Coordinator, and other positions
- Support a high-volume recruitment environment driven by business growth and frequent hiring needs
- Source candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and social media channels
- Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline, managing communications, interview scheduling, and follow-ups efficiently
- Post and manage job ads, ensuring descriptions are accurate, compliant, and aligned with business needs
- Conducting screenings, interviews, and offer processes, balancing speed with quality and compliance
- Conduct onboarding programs for new hires, ensuring a smooth, compliant, and well-organized introduction
- Track recruitment metrics and provide regular updates and reports to manager
Human Resources (30%)
- Provide support across HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, employee documentation, and HR policy compliance in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Ensure adherence to German employment law while supporting the company’s need to operate efficiently and move quickly
- Maintain confidential employee records and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Support managers with employee relations, performance management, and HR inquiries, ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance
- Assist in developing, implementing, and continuously improving HR processes, policies, and programs that support both compliance and operational speed
- Coordinate and support internal HR initiatives, such as employee engagement, training, and culture-building activities, in a scaling organization
Office & Culture Support (10%)
- Assist with general office management, including organization, supplies
- Onsite event support as needed
- Participate in planning and execution of internal events and company socials to support team engagement and culture
