Job Purpose

The Energy Operations Manager is responsible for managing day‑to‑day oil and gas operations across the company’s energy assets.

The role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable production while meeting HSE, regulatory, and company standards. The position works closely with engineering, drilling, maintenance, logistics, and HSE teams to optimize production and maintain asset integrity.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in oil & gas operations or energy management are an advantage.

Experience

  • 10–15 years of experience in oil and gas operations.
  • Experience in production, field operations, or processing facilities.
  • Proven experience managing operational teams, contractors, and technical staff.
  • Strong background in operational planning and maintenance coordination.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of upstream oil & gas operations and production processes.
  • Good knowledge of HSE standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and improve performance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management

  • Manage daily oil and gas operations across production facilities, wells, and processing units.
  • Ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operations.
  • Coordinate with engineering, technical, and field teams to execute production plans effectively.

2. Production Optimization

  • Monitor production performance, equipment efficiency, and operational KPIs.
  • Identify improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Implement initiatives to optimize production and operational processes.

3. Maintenance & Asset Integrity

  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Ensure equipment and facilities operate reliably and efficiently.
  • Implement asset integrity and inspection programs to maintain safety and infrastructure reliability.

4. Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Compliance

  • Ensure all operations comply with HSE standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation measures.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all operational activities.

5. Operational Planning & Execution

  • Support execution of operational plans aligned with production targets.
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, and resources to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support achievement of operational and organizational objectives.

6. Contractor & Stakeholder Management

  • Supervise contractors and service providers to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contractual requirements.
  • Work closely with internal teams such as engineering, supply chain, and projects to ensure alignment.

7. Cost & Efficiency Management

  • Monitor operational costs and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Support preparation and tracking of operational budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure cost control while maintaining operational performance.

8. Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Prepare operational reports, production summaries, and performance updates.
  • Track KPIs related to production, safety, equipment reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Provide regular updates to management.
