Join an innovative engineering organisation working on advanced sensing and edge intelligence technologies. Our client is a highly respected technology company focused on developing cutting-edge solutions across embedded systems, intelligent sensing, and low-power computing. With strong engineering teams and a collaborative international environment, the organisation is driving innovation in areas such as connected devices, wearables, and next-generation compute platforms.

This is a highly technical, hands-on role combining digital signal processing (DSP), machine learning, and embedded software engineering. You will contribute to the development of sensor-based solutions powering intelligent, low-power devices, working alongside global engineering teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and validate sensor algorithms using MATLAB and Python.
  • Analyse and evaluate algorithm performance across real-world use cases.
  • Optimize DSP pipelines for low-power, edge AI applications.
  • Convert floating-point algorithms to fixed-point implementations.
  • Optimize bit width and computational efficiency for embedded deployment.
  • Implement algorithms in C/C++ for embedded systems.
  • Work across both floating-point and fixed-point designs.
  • Make engineering trade-offs across performance, memory, power, and complexity.
  • Contribute across the full lifecycle from R&D to production.
  • Work closely with global systems, software, and test teams.
  • Present findings, design decisions, and performance results to stakeholders.
  • Produce clear documentation and technical reports.

Requirements

  • Degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
  • Experience in systems engineering, embedded systems, or related domains.
  • Strong understanding of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts (supervised & unsupervised learning).
  • Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded development.
  • Experience with MATLAB and/or Python for algorithm development.
  • Understanding of linear algebra, probability, and statistics.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Clear communication skills (technical and non-technical).
  • Experience optimizing DSP for edge AI or low-power devices.
  • Knowledge of MEMS and inertial sensors.
  • Experience with fixed-point implementation and quantization techniques.
  • Exposure to ASIC design, validation, or integration workflows.

Why Join?

  • Work on cutting-edge sensor and AI technologies deployed globally.
  • Be part of a deep-tech, innovation-driven engineering environment.
  • Collaborate with international teams across hardware and software.
  • Gain exposure to full product lifecycle development.
