Product Owner – Financial Crime Prevention, Tieto Banktech (m/f/d)
Tieto Banktech Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) is at the forefront of combating financial crime. FCP is a leading provider of identity, fraud prevention and anti-money laundering (AML) solutions in the Nordics and are expanding. FCP’s mission is to help keep financial systems and society at large, safe from criminal activity.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Owner to lead our Fraud Platform and drive AI-enabled fraud prevention initiatives within the Fraud Prevention product domain in the FCP unit. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape and drive the strategy, development, and delivery of advanced fraud monitoring and AI-driven solutions.
You will be responsible for executing our AI strategy by translating AI initiatives into concrete product capabilities, while also driving the Fraud Platform roadmap to effectively monitor payment transactions and other risk areas. This enables the detection and prevention of fraudulent activities and helps reduce losses for our banking clients.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our solutions align with the evolving needs of our clients and the market, positioning us as a leader in fraud prevention within the financial industry

Key Responsibilities:
- Product Vision and Strategy: Communicate the product vision and strategy for the Fraud Platform to Engineering a.o., ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs together.
- Collaborate with stakeholders: Gather requirements, validate assumptions, and ensure the product meets market demands and customer expectations.
- Backlog Management: Daily executor of the roadmap and Features/ Epics. Maintain a well-groomed product backlog, prioritizing user stories, features, and technical tasks based on value, risk and dependencies. Ensure that the backlog is transparent, visible, and understood by all stakeholders.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, designers, and business analysts, to deliver high-quality fraud prevention solutions on time. Facilitate effective communication between the Agile teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency
- User-Centric Approach: Advocate for user needs and ensure that our products are intuitive, user-friendly, and meet high standards of trust and security.
- Release Planning and Execution: Participate in PI (Program Increment) planning sessions, defining and prioritizing features and user stories for upcoming iterations. Ensure that the Agile teams have a clear understanding of the product goals and are committed to delivering value in each sprint.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on product progress, risks, and opportunities. Engage with customers to gather feedback and ensure that the product meets their needs and expectations.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Agile teams, encouraging regular retrospectives and process enhancements. Monitor, and analyze product performance, using data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive product improvements
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that the Fraud Platform, Secana, complies with relevant laws, standards, and internal policies. Identify and mitigate risks associated with fraud prevention, working closely with the risk management team to address potential issues
You will report to Head of Fraud Prevention.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Product Owner or Scrum Master in fintech, banking, or related industries.
- Knowledge of Fraud Prevention solutions is an advantage.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of delivering successful products.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- Experience with agile development methodologies; i.e. Scrum and SAFe frameworks
- Expertise in using Jira to define and manage the product roadmap, prioritize features, and track enhancements
- Experience with tools like Miro, Figma and with design thinking and Vibe-coding are an advantage
- Ability to simplify-and present complex information in a clear concise manner to a variety of audiences.
- Good pre-sale and communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in Norwegian and English.
