About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Interim Chief Information Officer (CIO a.i.) to lead and accelerate our digital and IT transformation agenda. This is a strategic leadership role for a seasoned executive who can operate at board level while driving execution across complex IT landscapes.
The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with deep technological expertise and has a proven track record in large-scale transformation programs, particularly within SAP environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the overall IT strategy aligned with business objectives
- Lead large-scale digital transformation programs, including SAP ECC to S/4HANA migrations
- Act as a trusted advisor to the executive board and key stakeholders
- Oversee IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks
- Manage and optimize IT budgets exceeding €10M
- Drive innovation, scalability, and operational excellence across IT functions
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing IT leadership teams
- Ensure robust cybersecurity strategies and data protection standards
- Manage external vendors, partners, and system integrators
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in IT Management, including leadership roles at enterprise level
- Proven track record in complex digital transformations, especially SAP ECC → S/4HANA
- Experience managing IT budgets of €10M+
- Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability
- Excellent stakeholder management skills at C-level and board level
- Solid understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud, and cybersecurity
- Experience in international and multi-stakeholder environments
- Strong leadership and change management capabilities
- Fluent in English (Dutch and/or French is a strong plus)
Additional Information
- Residency in the Benelux region is mandatory
- Ability to operate on-site/hybrid within the region
- Interim/freelance engagement
- Reference checks will be conducted at the start of the process (prior to introduction to the end client)
- A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) must be signed prior to the interview stage
- Experience working within Private Equity (PE)-backed environments is considered a strong advantage
