We are seeking a visionary Principal Enterprise Architect for a leading Tier-1 bank in the UAE. This is a high-impact role for a strategist who speaks the language of both a seasoned banker and a cloud-native engineer. Based in the region and ready to lead, you will be the authoritative owner of the enterprise capability landscape, ensuring strategy translates directly into high-performance technical reality.
What You’ll Do Daily
The Blueprint: Define, model, and manage the enterprise business capability landscape to drive strategic alignment.
Technical Excellence: Architect scalable, secure, and cloud-native systems using modern patterns (Microservices, Event-Driven, AI).
The Integrator: Act as the "Chief Translator" between business design, strategy, and IT execution.
Investment Strategy: Enable portfolio rationalization and operating model design through structured capability heatmapping.
Authority: Serve as the primary owner of the capability map and its relationship to journeys, services, and technology.
Profile
Banking Domain experience
Cloud Native: Hands-on experience designing and governing enterprise-scale applications in AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP.
AI Maven: Proven experience integrating AI/ML into enterprise frameworks is a must.
Modeling Mastery: High proficiency in architecture tooling (e.g., LeanIX, Mega, BizzDesign, or Sparx EA).
Regional Presence: Ideally currently based in the UAE/GCC with a pulse on the local regulatory and business landscape.
Core Competencies
Capability Modeling: Mastery of defining and structuring capabilities at all abstraction levels.
Strategic Alignment: Linking technical evolution to regulatory changes and business priorities.
Governance & Reuse: Reducing duplication and promoting architectural efficiency across domains.
Cross-Domain Collaboration: Strong engagement skills across Business, EA, and Transformation teams.
