Scrum Master
Location: Remote
Duration: 12+ Month Contract (Ongoing)
Our client, a leading global provider of technology-enabled claims and risk management solutions, is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join their team. This is a high-impact role supporting Agile transformation initiatives across technical teams, with strong visibility to leadership and long-term growth potential. This position requires a collaborative leader who can coach teams, drive Agile maturity, and effectively communicate across both technical and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum practices
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Coach teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile methodologies and continuous improvement
- Identify, track, and remove impediments to ensure team productivity and sprint success
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration
- Partner with Product Owners to maintain healthy backlogs and support sprint readiness
- Track and analyze Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time) and provide insights to leadership
- Communicate team progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders
- Support cross-team coordination and alignment in a scaled Agile environment
- Contribute to broader Agile transformation efforts and organizational process improvements
- Facilitate discussions, decision-making, and conflict resolution within teams
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience leading Agile projects as a Scrum Master and/or Product Owner.
- Proven experience serving as a Scrum Master in Agile environments
- Experience supporting or participating in Agile transformation initiatives
- Strong understanding of Scrum principles, ceremonies, and Agile best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence teams and stakeholders without direct authority
- Experience working with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, or similar
- Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills
- Consistent professional tenure with demonstrated team impact
- Experience working on technical or software development projects
- 5+ years of experience in Agile environments (Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or similar role)
- 3+ years of hands-on Scrum Master experience supporting software development teams
- Strong knowledge of: Scrum framework and Agile methodologies; Software development lifecycle (SDLC); Agile metrics and reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder-facing communication
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and facilitation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field
- Scrum certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
- Experience with SAFe or other scaled Agile frameworks
- Experience in insurance, claims, or risk management industries
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar Agile project management tools
- Experience working in large enterprise environments
