How will I help?

As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the transformation of Online Share Trading. You will leverage your data analysis and problem-solving skills to provide valuable insights and drive data-driven decision-making. Your responsibilities will include designing and maintaining the customer data model, developing insightful reports, and collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a high-profile project and contribute to the future success of Westpac Private Wealth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and Insights: Identify, extract, and analyse internal and external data to inform project decisions and business strategies.
  • Data Model Design: Design, build, and maintain the Online Share Trading customer data model to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Finance Analytics, Data Platforms, and third-party suppliers to leverage best practices and optimise data solutions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track key metrics and report on project progress, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Business Intelligence: Provide data-driven insights and solutions to support the Online Share Trading business.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with team members and stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Prioritisation and Time Management: Effectively prioritise tasks and allocate resources to meet deadlines. By taking on this challenging and rewarding role, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our business.

  • In-depth knowledge of data warehouses, multidimensional databases, data modeling, and BI tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL, Teradata, Microsoft SQL Server, PowerBI, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
  • A solid understanding of reporting and operational processes.
