As we continue to grow the product and expand its capabilities, we are looking for a new team member.

About the role

As a Software Engineer, you will help design and build the backend services that power Yester’s platform. Our engineering team is small and product-focused, giving engineers real ownership over the systems they build and the features they deliver.

This is a hands-on role across the backend stack — contributing to APIs, workflow automation and integrations. Many features combine business logic with integration-heavy workflows, making the backend both technically interesting and central to the product.

You will work on features from concept to production with support from the team and contribute to technical decisions shaping the platform. AI-assisted development is part of how we work, and we expect engineers to use modern tools while applying good engineering judgement.

What you’ll do

• Build and improve backend services in Java
• Contribute to designing and maintaining REST APIs that power core product workflows
• Help implement workflow automation for business processes
• Contribute to integrations with external systems such as HR and payroll platforms
• Support improvements in reliability, performance and observability of services running in AWS
• Write clean, testable and maintainable code
• Help investigate and resolve issues and improve system stability
• Apply AI-assisted development in day-to-day engineering work

What we’re looking for

• ~2+ years of backend engineering experience with Java
• Experience working with REST APIs
• Good SQL knowledge and understanding of data modelling basics
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Interest in building or working with integration-heavy systems
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Practical experience using modern developer tooling, including AI-assisted development

Salary Range - €2700 - €4000
