Role title: Network Design Engineer

Location: Munich or Dusseldorf

Salary: €130-155,000 + bonus

Are you passionate about designing resilient, high-performance network solutions in a global environment? We are looking for a Network LAN/WAN Engineer to join our team and take ownership of the day-to-day engineering of our Client’s Network Site and Wireless production environments.

This role is critical to ensuring optimal network performance and availability across a multinational enterprise. You will collaborate closely with our Client’s Real Estate and Service Delivery Program Teams, bringing deep technical expertise and a proactive approach to problem-solving.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement network solutions with high availability and resiliency.
  • Develop wireless coverage designs and optimize signal performance.
  • Support office moves and renewals in line with standard network designs.
  • Assist operations teams with root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Manage vendor relationships for hardware lifecycle and service roadmaps.
  • Evaluate Managed Service Provider technical capabilities.
  • Track availability and eliminate repeat incidents through technical solutions.


Technical Expertise

  • Proven experience with Aruba Wireless design, management, and standardization.
  • Strong knowledge of routing protocols and tiered network design.
  • Hands-on experience with SD-WAN (VeloCloud) and associated transport technologies.
  • Deep understanding of 802.11 protocols, RF propagation, antenna technologies, and interference analysis.
  • Skilled in predictive surveys using tools like Airwave VisualRF, Ekahau, or AirMagnet.
  • Experience troubleshooting voice applications over wireless (e.g., Microsoft Teams).


Soft & Behavioural Skills

  • Ability to analyse business and technical requirements and deliver projects based on defined processes.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for complex technical topics - MUST have B2 or better German language skills - ideally C1/2
  • Collaborative team player with coaching and knowledge-sharing capabilities.
  • Demonstrated personal mastery, ethics, and commitment to continuous learning.
