To support us in this mission, we are currently looking for a IP Network Engineer. Are you the one we’re looking for? Keep reading! As an IP Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security and performance of our network, supporting the seamless flow of data across various systems and locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain robust IP network solutions to meet the organization's business requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand network needs and develop scalable solutions
- Configure and optimize routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking hardware
- Proactively identify and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance
- Implement and maintain network security protocols to safeguard against unauthorized access and potential threats
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and ensure compliance with relevant security standards
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify areas for improvement
- Optimize network configurations to ensure efficient data flow and minimal latency
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures
- Create and update network diagrams, ensuring clarity and transparency in the network architecture
- Work closely with other IT professionals, vendors and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Provide technical support and expertise to other teams as needed
- Conduct regular capacity assessments to anticipate and address future network growth and demands
- Recommend and implement scalable solutions to accommodate the organization's evolving needs
Must Haves Qualities & Talents
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a experience in related field
- Proven experience as an IP Network Engineer or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of IP networking protocols and technologies
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls and other network equipment
- Familiarity with security protocols, VPNs and network monitoring tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in English and Dutch and/or French
