Job Description

Job Overview :

The Information Technology Officer is responsible for providing technical support to employees and will handle the 3rd level of support that involve the contact with external stake holder to further process the request when required and inform the SPOC to resolve the issue. The IT Officer is also responsible for the supervision, implementation and maintenance of the School’s computing needs. Also will ensure the smooth and effective operation of all computer systems, related applications, hardware, and software used within the School.

Key Duties and Responsibility :
Supervise information technology and computer systems.
KPI Achievement follow the deadline and help in data gathering documenting and presenting it to the management.
Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and data operations.
Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures. Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes. Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages.
Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.
Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
Review systems and assess their outcomes.
Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science from an accredited university, preferably with a professional certification such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA))

Experience :

3+ years’ proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role.

Preferably with:

Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management

Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
