About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join their Retail Development team. You’ll design and build scalable Java microservices, mentor engineers, and help shape the future of retail systems kiosks. This is a hands-on role focused on technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Java microservices using Spring Framework
- Architect scalable, fault-tolerant systems
- Improve code quality, reduce technical debt, and enhance CI/CD pipelines
- Mentor developers and foster a culture of growth
- Collaborate across teams to deliver innovative retail solutions
- Participate in production support and on-call rotation
What You’ll Bring
- Strong experience in Java development and Spring Framework
- Expertise in microservices architecture
- Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Proficiency with AWS, Docker, SQL/NoSQL, and automated testing
- Agile delivery mindset and DevOps experience
