We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA 3) with a specialized focus on Quality Assurance (QA) and Testing. This role is critical in supporting the integration of the Government of New Brunswick’s (GNB) new Oracle Cloud ERP (Fusion SaaS) solution with the complex legacy applications of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DTI).As a key member of the Business Application Services team, you will lead the quality and testing aspects of a multi-year, transformative ERP project. This initiative covers Human Resource Management, Financial Management, and Procurement domains across all of GNB. You will be responsible for ensuring that legacy DTI systems—which rely heavily on project costing, time and labor recording, and specific account coding—continue to function seamlessly within the new Oracle environment.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Test Strategy & Program Management: Lead the development of an overarching test strategy for multiple applications, including defining quality criteria and test management procedures.
Coordination & Leadership: Manage and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and system test activities involving over 20 business and technical subject matter experts (SMEs).
Technical Testing: Translate complex functional and technical specifications, data models, and database schemas into robust test plans and criteria.
Hands-on Execution: Develop and execute test cases and data while ensuring all test issues are resolved in a timely manner through coordination with other project teams.
Reporting: Track testing progress, provide regular status reports, and lead defect resolution efforts.
To be considered for this role, candidates must clearly demonstrate the following:
10+ Years of overall IM/IT experience.
4+ Years in a Test Lead role within the past 10 years.
5+ Years of experience writing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases.
3+ Years of experience with transformative ERP implementation projects in a public service environment involving complex legacy applications.
Full Competence in spoken and written English.
Technical Proficiency: Strong comprehension of SQL and the ability to read complex Data Models and Database schemas.
Analytical Depth: Experience consuming enterprise relationship diagrams (ERDs) and solution architecture diagrams.
Communication: Proven ability to target communications to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Self-Direction: Ability to work independently and collaborate confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
Certification: Possession of a Quality Assurance certification (e.g., ISTQB) is highly preferred.
Location: Based in Fredericton, NB. While remote work is acceptable and can be coordinated, onsite presence is required as needed for engagement with SNB and DTI.
Duration: Full-time (7.25-hour workday) commencing April 2026, with a contract term through March 31, 2027.
Extension: SNB reserves the right to extend the engagement for up to an additional 24 months.
