We are currently hiring for an experienced Electrical Engineer for our projects in Qatar. As the Senior Engineer - Electrical, you will be managing end to end electrical aspects engineering solutions on our construction projects.

The role is an outsourced position and will be under the sponsorship of our empaneled consultant.

• The Ideal candidate should be locally available in Qatar with valid QID and NOC.
• He/ she should be a graduate in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with min. 5+ years of experience in electrical project management role (operations maintenance, contract administration, commissioning and project management).

Job Responsibilities:

Engineering & Technical Support:

• Providing technical support and input from Electrical aspects to engineering/ technical manager on strategy related to electrical, sustainability, green building and energy efficiency.
• Planning and organizing work of consultant design team to ensure quality and performance within project parameters.
• Monitoring and supervising electrical design activities and ensuring they meet local and international standards and regulations.
• Commissioning or carrying out site surveys periodically and implementing local Electrical projects and infrastructure in line with approved design criteria and standards.
• Conducting "Value Engineering" studies to recommend areas for cost reduction through optimal re-design of projects and optimal quantity of required construction materials.

Managing Contractor/ Consultant:

• Validating consultants' proposals and advising management for appointment of consultants.
• Liaison with consultants ensuring drawings and designs meet local and international standards and codes of safety and stability.
• Conducting review and providing recommendations for design amendments at various project stages.
• Conducting due diligence of consultant, contractor, suppliers etc. to recommend electrical service providers for the project.
• Supporting in technical analysis of tender bids and monitoring the project progress while providing feedback on status, changes and ensuring consultants are delivering design according to QD standards.

Other Duties:

• Contributing to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of section systems, processes and practices.
• Ensuring compliance to relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and practices.
