Contract Opportunity: Scrum Master (6 months | Outside IR35 | £400/day)
A B2B Media organisation is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to play a key role in driving Agile best practices and enabling high-performing delivery teams across a Data Analytics & Insight programme.
This position supports the continued evolution of Agile ways of working, ensuring teams deliver value effectively while fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, psychological safety, and continuous improvement.
The Role
The successful candidate will act as a Scrum Master across one or more Agile delivery teams, working closely with technical teams and senior stakeholders to ensure effective, outcome-driven delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Delivery & Facilitation
- Act as Scrum Master across Agile delivery teams, ensuring effective adoption of Scrum and Agile frameworks
- Facilitate core ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Ensure delivery processes are efficient, outcome-driven, and aligned to programme objectives
Coaching & Team Enablement
- Coach and mentor teams to become high-performing and self-organising
- Promote Agile principles and a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Apply a pragmatic approach to Agile that enables delivery rather than hinders it
- Support and mentor other Scrum Masters to strengthen Agile maturity
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and engineering teams
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies clearly
Delivery Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Identify and remove impediments to ensure predictable delivery
- Support the evolution and standardisation of Agile practices across programmes
Collaboration & Culture
- Foster a culture of openness, collaboration, and psychological safety
- Drive continuous improvement through effective retrospectives and actionable outcomes
Risk Management
- Proactively escalate risks and resolve dependencies with stakeholders
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environments
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, LeSS or similar)
- Proven ability to coach teams and influence stakeholders
- Experience working on data-focused projects
- Experience working with cross-functional technical teams and senior leadership
- Proficiency with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Scrum certification (CSM or PSM)
- Strong understanding of software development and Agile delivery practices
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
Contract Details
- Duration: 6 months
- Rate: £400 per day
- IR35 Status: Outside IR35
