About the Role
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) to support a private banking client in Zurich. You will play a key role in enabling development teams, driving cloud transformation initiatives, and enhancing DevOps practices across multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
β οΈ Important: Due to Swiss regulations, only Swiss citizens, EU citizens, or candidates with a valid Swiss work permit can be considered. Remote work from outside Switzerland is not permitted.
Key Responsibilities
- Support multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and product teams in onboarding to the internal DevOps platform and Azure services
- Drive replatforming and migration of applications to cloud infrastructure aligned with enterprise standards and security principles
- Lead CI/CD pipeline migrations from Bitbucket/Jenkins to GitLab
- Collaborate with development teams to implement DevOps best practices and CI/CD automation
- Enable teams through coaching on cloud-native development and modern delivery practices
- Improve developer experience by creating templates, documentation, and training materials
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in software engineering (Java, .NET, Python, or similar)
- Proven experience building, maintaining, and migrating CI/CD pipelines
- Experience migrating pipelines from Bitbucket/Jenkins to GitLab
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles, Git workflows, and modern SDLC practices
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Infrastructure-as-Code
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with artifact management and deployment tools (e.g. Nexus, Helm)
- Experience working in restricted or air-gapped enterprise environments
- Experience in agile setups (e.g. SAFe) and cross-team collaboration
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g. Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are a plus
- Fluent in English; German is an advantage
