Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain our organization's design system
- Build reusable, accessible web components using Web Component APIs
- Implement and enforce accessibility standards across all front-end components
- Develop and maintain end-to-end tests with integrated accessibility testing
- Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure consistent implementation of design patterns
- Conduct accessibility audits and remediation using industry-standard tools
- Document component usage, accessibility features, and best practices
- Stay current with web standards, accessibility guidelines, and emerging front-end technologies
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in front-end development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Extensive experience with Web Component APIs and custom element development
- Proven track record in design system development and maintenance
- Expert knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level AA or higher)
- Hands-on experience with accessibility testing tools (e.g., axe DevTools, WAVE, Lighthouse, NVDA, JAWS)
