Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to join our team for a contractual assignment. The role involves assessing structural integrity, performing analysis, and designing modifications for industrial plant facilities. Immediate joining is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess structural integrity of plant facilities and supports to identify damage, corrosion, or fatigue issues.
- Perform stress analysis and structural calculations to ensure safety and reliability.
- Design modifications and reinforcements for damaged or aging structures in compliance with international codes.
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for structural repairs and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with international structural codes such as AISC, ASCE, BS, and Eurocodes.
- Conduct site inspections to verify structural conditions and recommend remedial actions.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and resource coordination for structural works.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in industrial facilities, oil and gas, or power sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in structural design and analysis software including STAAD Pro, SAP2000, and AutoCAD.
- Code Knowledge: Strong knowledge of international structural codes such as AISC, ASCE, BS, and Eurocodes.
- Industry Background: Experience with plant facilities, heavy industrial structures, or offshore and onshore oil and gas projects.
- Language: Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Availability: Immediate joining is required.
- Driving License: Qatar Driving License is preferred.
- NOC: Valid NOC for transfer is required if currently employed in Qatar.
