Senior DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer (f/m/d)

To support our growth and technical evolution, we are seeking a Senior DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen our team, help drive automation and best practices, and ensure our infrastructure is robust, scalable, and future-ready.

• Build and maintain reliable infrastructure across Hetzner Baremetal and Cloud environments.


• Champion modern DevOps practices such as automation, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and observability.


• Support both Windows and Linux setups, and help us drive the transition towards a Linux-centric infrastructure.


• Lead the evolution and optimization of our CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable, and automated software delivery.


• Extend and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g., Zabbix, Sentry, Prometheus/Grafana, or similar) to provide visibility and reliability for critical services.


• Collaborate with development teams to enable seamless, automated deployments and efficient incident response.


• Provide technical guidance and mentorship on DevOps tools and practices to colleagues across teams.

• 5+ years experience in maintaining production-critical infrastructure


• Experience administering Windows and Linux servers, with a solid understanding of networking and security best practices


• Practical experience operating hypervisors (Hyper-V, Proxmox, etc.)


• Strong focus on automation and Infrastructure as Code


• Proven experience operating Kubernetes clusters in production


• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, or similar) and modern software delivery automation


• Familiarity with monitoring and logging stacks (Zabbix, Sentry, Prometheus/Grafana, or similar)


• Experience with message queue and streaming systems (e.g., Apache Kafka) in production environments


• Ability to automate tasks using Bash/Python scripts and Ansible.


• Solid understanding of security best practices in networking, systems, and cloud environments.


• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with pfSense firewalls, VLANs, and VPNs.


• Experience with database administration (SQL Server, Redis, Elasticsearch, or similar).


• Knowledge of GitOps, service mesh, or advanced container orchestration concepts.


• German language skills are a plus, but not mandatory.
