Senior Embedded Software Developer - EN+FR

The role

As a Senior Embedded Software Developer, you will play a key role in the development of embedded platform software for autonomous drone systems. You will design, develop and integrate mission-critical embedded solutions interfacing firmware, flight control units, AI perception modules and communication systems, in close collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Your missions

• Design embedded software architecture (drivers, middleware, mission planning & flight control components)
• Develop and integrate drivers for sensors, actuators and communication interfaces
• Support hardware bring-up and debugging (JTAG/SWD, lab tools) in collaboration with PCB & firmware teams
• Develop HIL/HITL test environments and automated test scenarios
• Implement real-time communication between AI modules and flight control systems, including failsafe mechanisms
• Contribute to swarm coordination and multi-UAV communication middleware
• Ensure software robustness, security and traceability (secure boot, logging, updates)
• Lead technical integration activities and coordinate with cross-functional teams

Your profile

• Master’s degree in Embedded Systems, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in embedded software development (UAV, robotics or aerospace)
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python
• Solid experience with embedded Linux, RTOS, ROS2, MAVLink, UAVCAN
• Good knowledge of ARM platforms (STM32, Cortex-A/M) and companion computers
• Experience with HIL/HITL testing, simulators and automated testing
• Familiar with embedded communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet)
• Comfortable working with Git, CI/CD pipelines and Agile tools (JIRA)
• Able to work in English in an international environment

Nice to have

• Experience with PX4 / ArduPilot
• Knowledge of swarm coordination, mission planning or path optimization
• Exposure to edge AI integration and embedded security standards
