Job Purpose and Impact

The HR Project Specialist will lead the strategic portfolio of projects and programs across the functions including projects and data fields standardization, intake and value case guidelines, developing prioritization criteria and methods based on the enterprise strategy. In this role, you will provide transparency into the business's project portfolio, reports and integration with other business planning processes in collaboration with key stakeholders.

The HR Project Specialist will drive the end to end transformation of German HR process flows, ensuring seamless ticket‑to‑resolution processes and optimisation initiatives, Works Council‑related initiatives and key German HR projects.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the end‑to‑end redesign and governance of Germany specific HR processes, ensuring a seamless ticket‑to‑resolution employee experience across all locations, with a strong focus on Remedyforce case management and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluation and assessment of existing company HR policies and, if necessary, their adaptation in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Validate, prioritize and govern portfolio projects, monitor progress, ensure appropriate resource allocation, manage the portfolio management dashboard and provide guidance and training to stakeholders.
  • Manage portfolio reporting and enterprise or functional reviews, removing impediments, prioritizing opportunity backlogs, overseeing initiative‑level stage‑gate tracking, and analyzing portfolio data to identify risks, dependencies, and value opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement of portfolio and project management practices, in alignment with standard frameworks and company guidelines, to ensure delivery against strategic priorities and business outcomes.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration with HR, Works Councils, and other key stakeholders to deliver value through people, process, data, and technology improvements, while tracking delivery progress and business readiness.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, escalating only the most critical or high‑risk matters to appropriate leadership.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience (ideally a German legal or HR qualification)
  • Experience in project management, project delivery process and portfolio management
  • Experience in transformation, operational excellence, process improvement project management
  • Full professional proficiency in German (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional project management qualification
  • Previous experience within the deployment of HR systems such as SuccessFactors or Workday would be highly advantageous
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
  • Extensive Experience using project management and analytical tools
