Senior Backend Developer

The Role

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will sit at the intersection of heavy industry and high-tech. You will design the systems that ingest massive streams of sensor data, process them through proprietary AI algorithms, and deliver actionable insights to global enterprise clients.

Core Responsibilities

• Architect & Scale: Design and implement scalable, low-latency backend services using TypeScript and Python.
• Data Management: Optimize and manage relational databases (PostgreSQL) and specialized Time Series databases to handle high-velocity data.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy, manage, and scale services within the AWS ecosystem.
• System Integration: Develop secure APIs and internal services that integrate with industrial IoT hardware and live dashboards.
• Technical Leadership: Lead architectural discussions and mentor junior engineers on best practices for high-availability systems.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Languages: Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js and Python.
• Database Expertise: Deep understanding of PostgreSQL and hands-on experience with Time Series data (e.g., TimescaleDB, InfluxDB).
• Cloud Native: Strong exposure to AWS core services (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3).
• Ownership: Proven ability to take complex features from concept to production-ready code.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Golang: Experience with Go for building high-performance, concurrent microservices.
• IoT Knowledge: Experience with MQTT protocols and building backends for IoT hardware ecosystems.
• Legacy & Web Support: Working knowledge of PHP and the Laravel framework.
• NoSQL: Experience with AWS DynamoDB for high-scale, non-relational workloads.

Bonus Points

• Industrial Standards: Familiarity with the Sparkplug B specification for industrial IoT communication.
• Edge Computing: Experience with processing data at the edge before cloud ingestion.
