About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PHP Developer to join our client's team on a contract basis for a duration of six months or more. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely within the United States, supporting a growing organization focused on subscription eCommerce and SaaS platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in PHP development, experience with microservices architecture, and familiarity with high-volume transaction systems. This position is suitable for developers at various levels, from junior to senior, with 2-10 years of relevant experience. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing scalable APIs, and optimizing backend services to handle thousands of transactions per second. The candidate must be a US citizen, Green Card holder, or H1B visa holder residing in the US, with core business hours from 9AM to 5PM EST.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience working with MySQL and other RDBMS systems.
- Knowledge of non-relational databases such as DynamoDB, Cassandra, or MongoDB.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly EC2 and Lambda.
- Ability to handle high-volume transaction systems efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain PHP-based backend services and APIs to support subscription eCommerce platforms.
- Design and implement microservices architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Optimize existing codebases for high-volume transaction processing, ensuring system stability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain code quality standards.
- Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as EC2 and Lambda.
- Work with non-relational databases to support data storage needs and ensure data integrity.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and implement appropriate solutions to enhance system responsiveness.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate best practices into development processes.
