SKL Technology is currently searching for a Program Manager (Telecommunications) to join our growing client within their Services Division.

The role involves leading a large-scale, high-impact telecommunications program within a complex government environment, working closely with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners. You will be responsible for driving end-to-end delivery of strategic capabilities that support critical public services, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to quality and governance standards.

This position requires someone who can operate across both strategy and execution, with strong experience managing complex programs, navigating government environments, and engaging with diverse stakeholder groups. You will play a key role in shaping program direction while maintaining tight control over delivery, risk, and performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Take ownership of a complex telecommunications program, ensuring delivery is aligned to agreed timelines, budgets, and strategic outcomes.
2. Establish and oversee program plans and delivery frameworks, coordinating multiple projects and workstreams.
3. Track and drive program performance, ensuring visibility across milestones, deliverables, and overall progress.
4. Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies, working closely with senior stakeholders to resolve challenges.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and executive stakeholders across the program.
6. Facilitate governance forums and decision-making processes, ensuring clear communication and alignment across all parties.
7. Prepare and present high-quality briefings and executive-level updates, including inputs for senior leadership and key decision-makers.
8. Work across multiple agencies and teams to ensure consistent alignment and successful delivery outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

• Extensive experience delivering large, complex telecommunications programs within enterprise or government environments.
• Strong background in end-to-end program delivery, including managing multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Proven ability to engage, influence, and manage senior stakeholders across diverse groups.
• Experience operating at a senior leadership level, with a track record of delivering high-profile programs.
• Solid understanding of telecommunications networks, providers, and regulatory landscapes in Australia.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience producing executive-level reports and briefings.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while managing competing priorities.

Nice to Have

• Experience working within public safety, emergency services, or critical communications environments.
• Exposure to large-scale infrastructure or network transformation programs.
• Experience delivering across multi-agency or cross-government initiatives.
• Relevant certifications in Agile, Program Management, or delivery frameworks.
• Understanding of governance and compliance requirements within regulated environments.
