Strategic Sourcing Manager – Technology Procurement

The Role
As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will lead complex procurement initiatives across the technology category. You’ll oversee the full sourcing lifecycle, from identifying requirements through to supplier selection and contract finalisation, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and aligned with business priorities.
You’ll also work closely with senior stakeholders, providing expert advice and driving initiatives that enhance procurement capabilities and outcomes across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Contracting
- Manage end-to-end sourcing processes, including market analysis, supplier selection, and contract negotiation
- Lead high-value procurement events and ensure successful delivery of sourcing objectives
- Oversee the development and execution of RFX processes, including documentation and supplier engagement
- Finalise contracts, ensuring alignment with commercial, legal, and compliance standards
Category & Strategy Support
- Partner with category leads to shape sourcing strategies and identify improvement opportunities
- Provide insights into supplier markets, innovation opportunities, and emerging trends
- Support supplier segmentation and selection activities
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Deliver large, cross-functional procurement projects across multiple regions
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and provide strategic guidance
- Lead and coordinate teams involved in sourcing and category initiatives
- Mentor and support colleagues to strengthen procurement capabilities
Supplier & Performance Management
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews
- Ensure products and services meet agreed contractual standards
- Drive continuous improvement through supplier engagement and feedback
Governance & Process Improvement
- Ensure compliance with risk, regulatory, and internal procurement policies
- Support supplier onboarding, due diligence, and data management processes
- Contribute to improving procurement tools, frameworks, and operating models
- Promote sustainable and responsible sourcing practices
Key Challenges
- Shifting procurement practices towards a more category-driven approach
- Embedding consistent sourcing methodologies across global teams
- Driving adoption of strategic procurement capabilities at scale
What You’ll Bring
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- Extensive experience in procurement within complex, international organisations
- Strong background in technology sourcing, including large-scale contracts and negotiations
- Proven success delivering high-value sourcing projects and transformation initiatives
- Experience coaching or mentoring procurement professionals
- Good understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations within financial services or similar sectors
- Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable commercial value
