We are growing internationally and looking for an AI Project Sales Engineer to join our Istanbul team.
About the Role
This is not a typical software sales position. You will sit at the intersection of industrial AI technology and real-world manufacturing problems. Your job is to understand what happens on a production line, identify where AI creates measurable value, and guide customers from first conversation through proof-of-concept to production deployment.
You will work closely with our engineering team in Istanbul and coordinate with our headquarters in Minden, Germany for international accounts.
What You Will Do
- Identify and engage potential customers in automotive, food & beverage, chemical, machining, and logistics sectors
- Conduct on-site factory visits to analyze production processes and pinpoint quality control, predictive maintenance, and process optimization opportunities
- Deliver product demonstrations of Inspector, Predictor, and Project Studio tailored to each customer's specific production challenges
- Design and propose customized AI solutions with measurable ROI — you are selling production efficiency, not software licenses
- Coordinate Proof-of-Concept (POC) projects with the technical team, managing timelines and customer expectations
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet quarterly and annual targets
- Track competitor activity and contribute to Dataguess's market positioning
- Collaborate with the Germany office on cross-border opportunities and international account management
- Represent Dataguess at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or related field)
- Minimum 2 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in industrial products, automation, or technology solutions
- Foundational understanding of artificial intelligence, computer vision, and machine learning — deep technical expertise is not required, but genuine curiosity and willingness to learn are essential
- Comfort in factory environments with the ability to communicate effectively with production managers, quality engineers, and C-level decision makers
- Strong presentation and demo skills
- Advanced English proficiency (you will work with our German HQ and international clients)
- Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally for customer visits
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable in a small, high-impact team
Nice to Have
- Experience in manufacturing, MES, or industrial automation sales
- Familiarity with quality control processes (visual inspection, SPC, OEE)
- Existing network in Turkish manufacturing industry
- Working knowledge of German
