Role Purpose:

Oversee the deal flow at Omantel Innovation Labs by sourcing, evaluating, and managing startup investments. Collaborate with stakeholders to align investments with Omantel's needs while providing mentorship and strategic guidance to portfolio companies. Support the growth of startups through effective portfolio management and access to funding, markets, and investors.

Minimum role requirements:

Qualification: Bachelor in relevant field

Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience.

Key Accountabilities:

• Source and evaluate potential startup investment opportunities for Omantel Innovation Labs.
• Conduct thorough due diligence and market analysis to assess the viability of investment deals.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align startup investments with Omantel’s strategic objectives and innovation goals.
• Develop investment theses and recommendations that meet Omantel’s business and market needs.
• Provide ongoing mentorship and strategic guidance to portfolio companies to enhance their growth and performance.
• Monitor portfolio startups’ progress, ensuring they meet milestones and KPIs while addressing challenges proactively.
• Facilitate access to funding, markets, and investors for portfolio startups, helping them scale their operations effectively.
• Connect startups with relevant Omantel business units to leverage internal resources and create synergies.
• Build and maintain relationships with startup ecosystems, accelerators, venture capital firms, and innovation hubs to identify collaboration opportunities.
• Represent Omantel Innovation Labs at industry events, pitching forums, and conferences to showcase its investment initiatives.
• Stay updated on emerging market trends, technologies, and startup ecosystems to inform investment decisions.
• Provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders on the innovation and investment landscape.
• Administrative and Compliance Responsibilities
• Ensure investment activities comply with Omantel’s policies, governance frameworks, and industry regulations.
• Prepare detailed investment proposals, documentation, and reports for internal approval processes.
• Track and analyze the financial and strategic performance of portfolio companies, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver presentations on the impact of Omantel Innovation Labs’ investments to senior management.
