About The Role

We are seeking a talented iOS Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team at Engine by Starling, a subsidiary dedicated to providing SaaS technology solutions to banks and financial institutions worldwide. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing our existing mobile applications and developing new features from scratch, tailored to meet the needs of our global banking clients. You will work on a highly modular Swift codebase that emphasizes simplicity, testability, and reusability, contributing to a platform that supports millions of users. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for mobile development, a keen eye for user experience, and a desire to work on impactful projects that are shaping the future of digital banking.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should have a strong background in iOS development, with proficiency in Swift and UIKit. Experience with MVVM-C architecture and reactive programming frameworks like RxSwift is highly desirable but not mandatory. Familiarity with core iOS frameworks, auto layout, and building scalable, maintainable codebases is essential. Candidates should have a solid understanding of mobile app lifecycle management, testing methodologies, and version control systems such as Git. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with prior experience working in agile environments and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of our award-winning mobile platform, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Design, build, and maintain new features and products from initial concept through deployment, ensuring they are configurable and scalable.
  • Write clean, robust, and well-tested code that adheres to best practices and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical discussions, and help define architectural decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance developer productivity.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate innovative solutions into our mobile applications.
