Graphic Designer

This opportunity is for a creative graphic designer to develop a unique logo for a group of student nurses attending a field school in Costa Rica. The logo will be featured on matching t-shirts and should blend classic Costa Rican imagery, such as national animals and plants, with nursing-related symbols like a stethoscope or ECG complex. The design should also reflect a decolonization and post-colonial perspective, aligning with the values of a diverse Canadian university with a strong nursing faculty. Creative interpretation and thoughtful integration of both cultural and professional elements are highly encouraged.

Deliverables

• Design a distinctive logo suitable for t-shirts, incorporating Costa Rican national animals or plants and nursing icons.
• Provide initial concept sketches and iterate based on feedback from the student group.
• Deliver final artwork in high-resolution vector and raster formats suitable for print.
• Ensure the design is adaptable for various uses, including digital and print media.
• Present a brief rationale explaining the design choices and how they reflect both Costa Rican and nursing themes.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in logo design, preferably with multicultural or educational projects.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and versatility in graphic design.
