Role Title
Strength and Durability Analysis Engineer, Suspension
Main responsibilities
Team & Function
You will be a part of the Complete Vehicle, Road Load Data and Suspension Analysis Team at the Durability Lab at Safety Centre.
Core Responsibility Overview
You will plan and execute physical strength and durability tests with main focus on Screw Joint but also system and component tests connected to the wheel suspension.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute physical strength and durability tests and analysis with main focus on Screw Joints.
Actively work to establish test plans and material need for testing in line with our program deliveries.
In close collaboration with test lab technicians define and plan the adequate test set up to facilitate strength and endurance analysis.
Support CAE and design engineers in early development phases based on knowledge gained from testing previous car programs.
Report test results and lesson-learned to summarize gained experience to be carried back to concept work in future car programs.
Help develop requirements and methods for efficient product development
Required qualifications
Educational Background
BSc/MSc in engineering, mechanics, strength, fatigue, dynamics, or similar
Experience
Experience in mechanical strength and durability testing where you have performed analysis tasks independently and given recommendations.
Technical Skills
Skilled in MTS, Instron, Dewesoft, Teamcenter Engineering (TCe) or similar
Language
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
