Our manufacturing client just 20 minutes north of Barrie, ON is seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to join a growing manufacturing organization. This role is ideal for an HR professional with proven experience in a unionized manufacturing environment who is looking to make a meaningful impact across recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for both hourly (unionized) and salaried positions
- Develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies and talent pipelines
- Partner with colleges and training institutions to support workforce development initiatives
- Coordinate and facilitate onboarding for new hires
- Track and analyze HR metrics to support decision-making
- Provide guidance on collective agreement interpretation and application
- Support attendance management and progressive discipline processes
- Conduct workplace investigations and prepare detailed reports with recommendations
- Assist with grievance management, including documentation and drafting responses
- Support collective bargaining preparation and documentation
- Maintain job descriptions and physical demands analyses
- Ensure compliance with ESA, AODA, and applicable employment legislation
- Support STD claims administration and reporting
- Assist with policy development and HR program implementation
Qualifications:
- Post-graduate certificate in Human Resources Administration
- Minimum 3 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment a MUST
- Mandatory experience in a unionized setting
- Strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, including ESA
- Experience with ADP HRMS is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
