Intern - Manufacturing (Automation & Digitalisation)

As a Manufacturing (Automation & Digitalisation) Intern, you will support Singapore Operations in driving automation and digitalisation initiatives across manufacturing processes. You will contribute to the development of software applications, data infrastructure, and analytics solutions to enhance operational efficiency and enable data-driven decision-making. This role offers hands-on exposure to Industry 4.0 technologies, full-stack development, and real-world manufacturing systems.

What you will do

• Design and develop applications for both local and web-based platforms
• Implement robust code for data collection, transmission, and transformation across systems
• Design and deploy databases to support backend data infrastructure
• Develop and maintain websites and user interfaces for frontend engagement
• Apply data analytics techniques to generate insights and build live dashboards for stakeholders
• Support system integration using Industry 4.0 communication protocols and service-oriented architectures
• Assist in preparing technical documentation and User Requirement Specifications (URS).
  
  

What you bring

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
• Programming experience in Java, Python, SQL, JavaScript, or similar languages
• Exposure to web development frameworks (e.g. React) and basic frontend/backend concepts
• Basic understanding of databases, microservices, and system integration
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with interest in automation and digitalisation
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive learning attitude.
