Product Manager – Spectroscopy Platform

We are supporting an innovation-driven analytical instrumentation company in the search for a Product Manager to lead development of a next-generation UV-Vis spectroscopy platform.

This role is particularly suited to individuals with hands-on product management or technical commercial experience with the Agilent Cary 60 UV-Vis spectrophotometer or similar analytical spectroscopy systems.

The opportunity

This is a rare chance to take ownership of a new spectroscopy product line from early concept through to commercial launch. You will define the product vision, translate customer needs into technical specifications, and work cross-functionally with R&D, engineering, and commercial teams to bring a new instrument to market.

Key responsibilities

• Lead market and competitor analysis within UV-Vis spectroscopy
• Translate customer workflows (particularly pharma and biotech) into product requirements
• Help define a new instrument platform comparable to systems such as the Agilent Cary 60
• Develop product positioning, differentiation, and pricing strategy
• Work closely with R&D to shape product architecture and feature roadmap
• Support go-to-market strategy and commercial launch activities
• Engage with customers and key opinion leaders
• Drive cross-functional alignment across technical and commercial teams

Ideal background

We are especially interested in candidates who bring:

• Experience at Agilent Technologies or similar analytical instrumentation companies
• Direct exposure to the Cary 60 or comparable UV-Vis spectroscopy products (application, sales or service)
• Experience working with pharma or biotech customers
• Strong analytical and structured thinking skills
