Middle IoT Software Engineer

SoftServe IoT Practice is growing with a distributed, highly skilled engineering team. We work with customers across multiple industries, helping them design, build, and scale IoT and embedded software solutions.

The team works on diverse IoT projects, ranging from embedded and edge software to cloud-connected systems. Projects may vary and require learning, adapting, and solving complex technical challenges.

IF YOU ARE

Having at least 2–3 years of commercial experience in C++ development
Familiar with Linux-based systems and basic OS concepts
Interested in IoT, embedded, and edge computing domains
Experienced in Docker and containerized applications
Knowledgeable of computer vision fundamentals
Skilled in networking fundamentals and communication protocols (TCP/IP, MQTT, DDS, CAN, etc.)
Aware of software build systems, CI/CD, and version control (Git)
Comfortable working in a team and communicating ideas clearly
Motivated to learn new technologies and grow professionally
Capable of communicating in English freely in a multicultural environment
Familiar with Python or C# (is not a must)

AND YOU WANT TO

Develop embedded and edge software running on Linux‑ and RTOS‑based devices
Enable communication between devices and cloud platforms
Build and improve reliable, maintainable, and efficient software
Use modern development practices, tooling, and workflows
Work with different hardware platforms and architectures (ARM, x86, etc.)
Perform peer design and code reviews and provide feedback on areas that need improvement
Interact with cross-functional team (BA, QA, DEV, PM) to assure an organic product evolution
Attend and contribute to Agile ceremonies: daily stand-ups, planning, retros, etc.
