About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Developer with expertise in Kotlin to join our team in the Bracknell area. This hybrid role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of sophisticated mobile applications that integrate seamlessly with connected devices and cloud services. You will be instrumental in shaping a modern mobile platform used by customers around the globe, working on products that combine health data, mobile engineering, and Android architecture. Qualifications

• Proven experience in Android development with a strong portfolio of published applications
• Expertise in Kotlin programming language and Android Studio IDE
• Solid understanding of Android architecture patterns such as MVVM or Clean Architecture
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and other web services
• Familiarity with Android health APIs like Google Fit or Health Connect (desirable)
• Knowledge of modern Android components such as Jetpack and Compose (desirable)
• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Java
• Build scalable and maintainable architectures leveraging MVVM or Clean Architecture principles
• Integrate health-related APIs such as Google Fit or Android Health APIs to enhance app functionality
• Implement robust REST API integrations to support seamless data exchange
• Develop data workflows that support interactions between mobile devices, connected hardware, and cloud services
• Write and maintain unit tests and automated UI tests to ensure app reliability and performance
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and collaborative development activities
