Summary

Cobalt Recruitment are partnering with an international investment platform that is continuing to expand its finance team in Luxembourg. As part of this growth, they are seeking a Fund Accountant to join their team.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of core accounting responsibilities across a portfolio of entities, while developing technical expertise within a structured and collaborative environment. You will gain exposure to a range of fund structures and work closely with experienced professionals, building both your technical and stakeholder management skills over time.

The position would suit a motivated professional looking to build their career within fund accounting, offering strong exposure, ownership and clear long-term progression.

The role

You will support the day-to-day accounting and reporting activities for assigned entities. Responsibilities will include:

Maintaining accurate accounting records and processing bookkeeping transactions

• Preparing financial information and supporting schedules for review
• Performing reconciliations and investigating variances
• Supporting the preparation of interim and annual financial statements
• Managing bank reconciliations and resolving unreconciled items
• Ensuring reporting deadlines are met in line with internal processes
• Liaising with external stakeholders including auditors and advisors

About you

• Qualified or actively studying towards a professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong academic background with a clear interest in accounting and finance
• Comfortable working with financial data in a structured, deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Proactive, organised and detail-oriented
• Motivated to take ownership and develop within a finance function
