Job Overview
The World of Tanks Blitz team in Warsaw is looking for a Senior Level Designer - an experienced out-of-the-box thinker who can bring fresh ideas and a unique perspective to the game and help to shape and evolve gameplay. As a member of the World of Tanks Blitz team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a talented and passionate group of professionals and make a meaningful impact on the level design direction and success of the game. You will create maps from initial concept to final unique gameplay asset, analyze and set the balance on maps, and take part in the development of new mechanics and game modes.

What will you do?
- Design and create new maps in Unreal Engine, maintain them, and modify them when necessary
- Transform concepts into specific playable levels, including layout, modeling, gameplay, event scripting, balance and tuning of levels
- Assist in making levels look visually competitive while protecting gameplay as the top priority
- Fill the levels with natural and fresh details in accordance to art and architectural vision of the game
- Write reference boards and flow charts for assigned levels of games
- Verify maps via data visualization and validate new assets according to gameplay
- Manage playtests to prove your concepts and polish maps gameplay
- Collect and analyze map data to continuously improve gameplay
- Create, enhance or order tools/visualizations/tests to improve your and team workflows
What are we looking for?
- 5+ years of experience as a Level Designer on FPS or TPS projects, with at least one shipped title
- Extensive experience working with Unreal Engine, Unity, or proprietary game engines
- Strong understanding of gameplay flow and scripting
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines, ensuring high-quality results
- Proven experience working with distributed teams across multiple geographic locations
- Genuine passion for playing and creating video games across platforms
What additional skills will help you stand out?
- Experience with Unreal Engine Blueprints
- Proficiency in Photoshop and basic 3D modeling skills (e.g., Blender, 3ds Max)
- Experience with terrain generation tools such as Gaea, World Machine, or similar
- Basic understanding of programming concepts and database operations
- Basic knowledge of statistics and data analysis
- Upper Intermediate level of English or higher
Work mode
- Full-time employment
- Onsite from Warsaw
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Poland at the time of application
Type of Contract and Salary
- Employment Contract (umowa o prace)
- The salary range for this role is 16000 - 25000 PLN gross monthly (The final salary within the range will depend on the candidate’s experience, skills, and performance during the interview. Please note that this salary range applies to Poland; for other locations, it might be different.)
